Time lapse video of the process in producing this X-23 Sketch Card Commission. I started off with a pencil sketch at double the size (5*7) that I sent to the buyer for approval, once he approved it, I scanned it into Photoshop, adjusted the composition slightly, scaled down to 2.5*3.5 and printed it on to copy paper. With the scaled down print I then do a loose carbon transferred to the card stock, this is where the video starts. Once the loose sketch is transferred I refined the lines and get into colors and ink. I used a Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Colour Paint Field Box Set, black & white PrismaColor pencils and a fine liner.
This AP is from the Upper Deck 2018 Black Panther set that I had the opportunity to contribute to. These sketch card projects are great practice, and I find that I learn something new on every one of them, while improving my skills.
